Sakura was established in 1979 and its key motto in New Product Innovations, Quality and Service. Customer Satisfaction - has always been the key motivation of Sakura's direction, thus aggressively promoting its life time warranty policies on its range of products: namely -
- Range Hood - life time free supply of Oil Cup Filters
- Water Heaters - life time free safety on site inspection
which still is a great hit with consumers till today. This enabled Sakura to grow successively over the years and become the number 1 brand in Taiwan.

In 1988, a consolidation of its then 3 major resources; Sakura Taiwan Industries and "Yuan Hui" Metal Industries and "Yu Zheng" Industries, was turned into what we know as SAKURA GROUP today. Within a short span of 3 years, the SAKURA GROUP became the first in its circle to attain the status of a Public Listed Company.

A nation wide network of 12 large scale regional distribution centers and thousands of dealers quickly saw Sakura enter the life of millions of Taiwanese. To further enrich the lifestyle of consumers, SAKURA quickly expanded its product offering to Dish Dryers, Electric Water Heater and Water Filter. SAKURA continued to grow and became part with the nation as consumer's needs were ever growing and changing.

The growing demands of consumers lead to the creation of SAKURA KITCHEN LIFE in 1979. The franchise chain opened new doors to consumers, where they can walk into a SAKURA store, feel at home and enjoy the conveniences the store has to offer. The life size showrooms offered consumers more choices and "actual" viewing of what consumers were buying. Shopping for Kitchen appliances was brought to a new level of experience.

Duplicating its success in Taiwan, the same motto and lifetime warranty policies were implemented in China. SAKURA's Water Heaters and Range Hoods quickly became a household brand. New products - Electric Water Heater, Gas Cooker, Kitchen Sink and Taps were added to meet with the ever growing demands of China.

Over the years, SAKURA has entered millions of household and this has been the motivating voice that continues to lead SAKURA in attaining TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. New innovations in Product Design, Quality Control and implementation of Six Sigma Management processes, further pushed SAKURA to newer heights and produced its latest:
- Digital Temperature Control Water Heater
- Digital Heat Control Gas Burner

A dedicated Call Center and a Website, where customers can communicate with Sakura, were set up, creating a strong and long lasting relationship.
